Domestic and Hybrid Programs - Czech

1st-Year Czech

6 Weeks in Pittsburgh

Czech at the beginning level taught at the SLI provides the equivalent of one academic year's worth of study. SLI will be offering Czech in-person during the summer of 2023 on the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Depending on demand, Czech may be offered in an online, synchronous format. Applicants will be asked to indicate the format that they are seeking on their SLI application.

Czech classes will meet Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:50 pm ET for 5 academic hours per day with a break for lunch. In addition to intensive language classes, students also attend Czech films, lectures on politics and culture, and activities featuring Czech culture on topics such as art, music, movement, and cuisine.
