Domestic and Hybrid Programs - Slovak

1st, 2nd 3rd & 4th-Year Slovak

6 Weeks in Pittsburgh

SLI will be offering Slovak in-person during the summer of 2023 on the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh. The SLI Slovak faculty and administration also expect to accommodate students who seek to attend remotely via a hybrid and/or online model of instruction in 2023. Applicants will be asked to indicate the format that they are seeking on their SLI application form.

Slovak at the beginning, intermediate, advanced, and 4th-year levels taught at the SLI provides the equivalent of one academic year's worth of study.

Slovak classes will meet Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:50 pm ET for 5 academic hours per day with a break for lunch. This schedule is subject to modification depending on the geographical distribution of online participants. In addition to intensive language classes, students also attend Slovak films, lectures on politics and culture, and activities featuring Slovak culture on topics such as art, music, movement, and cuisine.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at sliadmin@pitt.edu about your language learning goals in Slovak for summer 2023!
