1st-Year Ukrainian

6 Weeks in Pittsburgh

Ukrainian at the beginning level taught at the SLI provides the equivalent of one academic year's worth of study. SLI will be offering Ukrainian in-person during the summer of 2023 on the main campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Depending on demand, Ukrainian may be offered in an online, synchronous format. Applicants will be asked to indicate the format that they are seeking on their SLI application.

Ukrainian classes will meet Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:50 pm ET for 5 academic hours per day with a break for lunch. In addition to intensive language classes, students also attend Ukrainian films, lectures on politics and culture, and activities featuring Ukrainian culture on topics such as art, music, movement, and cuisine.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us about your language learning goals in Ukrainian for summer 2023!
